The latest Chess Notes item points out a website with this great footage of Akiba Rubinstein. https://t.co/Hm8TKqlXXP pic.twitter.com/YkqWLbOaJj

Great Akiba Rubinstein (1880-1961) was born today 142 years ago. Probably the greatest of non-champions. Author of numerous opening concepts and endgame discoveries, he somewhat lacked an iron will and sportive qualities, but his name will be remembered as long as chess exists. pic.twitter.com/hQfrPTKfFp

The striving to play deeply in the opening, and the so-called “long plan”, that is when a game’s played from the beginning to the end in one key… That’s what I like in chess, and it comes from Akiba Rubinstein.

Announcing the Veselin Topalov scholarship: awarding $10,000 to anyone with evidence of Kramnik’s “strange behavior” and unusually strong and quick play in the 2006 World Championship.
Apply on the website in my bio.

A very interesting talk on a subject that has been rampant in the chess world. I believe online chess, like most esports that I know of, is bound to be played from a physical location to both help prevent cheating and to mitigate the current climate of endless suspicion. https://t.co/CCtvNvZnQH

Kontynuacja odcinka 107
„System rankingowy doskonale sprawdza się w przypadku graczy, którzy grają wyłącznie w turniejach zamkniętych typu „każdy z każdym”. Uważam, że większość z nich jest przereklamowana. Organizatorzy zapraszają ciągle te same osoby”. link
